David grade 7 LCM singer

I have found Marissa a very friendly and supportive teacher since I began lessons with her early in 2017. There is no pressure to enter for exams and her focus is on singing for singing's sake, with all the physical and psychological benefits that come with it. I have no reservation in recommending her if you are looking for a singing teacher, whatever type of music you perform.

Amber Musical Theatre college student

Marissa is a great teacher who crafts lessons to suit your needs, so you can focus on improving your voice. The atmosphere is friendly and professional and my technique has improved so much since starting.

Caron adult singer

“Marissa was my singing teacher for a couple of years when I lived in Hull.  She is professional, personable and gifted and helped me gain confidence in singing whilst at the same time extending my range.  It was great working with her: she’ll make you feel comfortable and confident in what you can achieve.  She even managed to encourage me to perform publicly with 2 solos J.  And, it’s great to be taught by someone who has so much passion for music.”

Support worker - adult client with additional needs

I have worked with Marissa to enable a service user with mental health and learning difficulties to engage in singing lessons over the duration of approximately four months.

Marissa has been welcoming, friendly and open in her approach which has greatly impacted upon the service user’s confidence to improve their singing ability.

The service user greatly benefited from attending singing lessons, providing them with a sense of purpose, enjoyment and achievement. This consequently contributed to their recovery in regards to their treatment pathway.

I would highly recommend Marissa’s service, in particular to those who have a learning disability/mental health condition to promote and expand creative opportunities for those who experience these issues in a hospital or community environment.

Charlotte

I would recommend Marissa to anyone looking for singing or music lessons. She is incredibly experienced and immediately assessed my 12 year old's ability. My little girl entered her grade 3 LCM very quickly and achieved 98%. She is a wonderful and caring teacher.

Tina

My daughter has had lessons with Marissa for a while now. Since starting she has set up her own singing business, is hired locally to perform festivals, weddings and is succeeding in all of auditions. We're very excited that we found Marissa!!
